Chris leads The Scotiabank Women Initiative® Small Business Strategy across Canada. Chris took on this role in September of 2021, to help build and enhance a program that helps women overcome the challenges they face on their path to success when starting, sustaining, and growing a business. Chris leads many national events and partnerships and takes her role as a DEI champion and ambassador very seriously.
Benny is a contemporary artist who explores themes of identity, gender, and Blackness. Being born and raised in Nigeria, Bing has always drawn influence from the pride and beauty in his cultural upbringing. Bing’s work has led to cultivating corporate partnerships, working with brands such as Roots, IKEA, Old Navy, and The Daniels Corporation. His work can be seen in many permanent collections globally and has also been featured in notable institutional exhibits.
Vanessa Bowen is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP) and the Founder of Mint Worthy Co. Inc., a personal finance coaching platform that helps women shift their relationship with money and take control of their finances. After a decade in corporate finance and public accounting working with international businesses in Canada and the US, Vanessa decided to pursue her passion for personal finance, shifting her focus to empowering women to live life on their own financial terms.
Jami is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and the founder of Chillbooks™.
She educates entrepreneurs about the basics of bookkeeping and tax, helping them take charge of their finances and find the clarity and confidence they crave in their business. Jami also mentors accounting professionals to grow their accounting or bookkeeping businesses using the power of education with the Chillbooks™-Certification program.
